The Roman Ensemble, with its roots in Amsterdam, plays music from the Balkan and the countries bordering the Black Sea.
Ever since the start in 2002, all the musicians feel an exceptional love for the melancholic melodies, exhilarating rhythms and cheerful notes of the music so characteristic of this area.
The ensemble was founded as part of a one-off project, but, obviously, succeeded a bit too much: many years of concerts, recordings and tours through all parts of Europe followed.
This year, 2020, and with much pride, Roman Ensemble would like to present their second album: Gül, Turkish for rose.
Roman Ensemble CD release concert will be held on Friday 24 January 2020 at 20:00 hrs.
